Rating: - * The Best I've Ever Found! ... I purchased this phone purposely because the one I have has been the best phone (V-tech or other) that I've ever had. The sound quality is very good & the ability to use it with a headphone is certainly a plus to avoid neck strain. I get so much accomplished using my headphone and working around the house! It has a message waiting signal on the base to let me know theres a message on my voicemail. It has easy to use instructions for programming phone numbers into memory and can store up to ten numbers. I highly recommend it. Rating: - * Reliable Phone ... Just as the title says this is a reliable phone for very low cost. Who could ask for more? Rating: - * Hmmm ... Not the best phone I have ever had, but works. It is a little scratchy but I know when people are calling. I will look for another phone after this one. Rating: - * Highly Recommend It ... I am a little skeptical about cordless phone because the all start great and then they deteriorate, but I found this Vtech model meets up to its expectations. The sound is clear, the button and display window is easy to read. Why spend more money for a cordless phone when for a reasonable price you get a very good quality with this phone. I highly recommend it. Rating: - * Reasonable Value ... Reasonably good value; works fine most of the time. The reception seems to be not as good as the transmission of sound, thus we cannot hear as well as the people at the other end. |

Marie opens the show with an outdoor rendition of "We Need a Little Christmas" and then moves into the studio where Kirk Cameron arrives on a snowmobile (fresh from rescuing a trio of blonde snow bunnies) to read "The First Christmas Story." Lee Greenwood performs "Christmas to Christmas" and later a duet with Marie. "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas" is sung by Sally Struthers and daughter with help from the Osmond Boys--six stepping stones ages 4 to 12 who have the senior Osmonds' moves down pat. The adorable award, though, goes to Marie's 5-year-old son, Steven, who performs a rockin' version of "Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town" (clapping on the off-beat nearly the whole song).
Marie has a good, strong voice, but many of the songs are overproduced and melodramatic. This, most likely, is a product of the big, pouffy '80s (her hair and outfits are also bigger-than-life) rather than a reflection of her talents. The closing number, "O Holy Night," sung by Marie alone, is quite lovely. --Dana Van Nest
