The Zoom Bluetooth adapters plug into a laptop computer or PDA to provide a wireless connection to another Bluetooth-enabled device, such as a modem, mobile phone, headset or peripheral. Zoom Bluetooth adapters are Class 1 Bluetooth devices; this allows them to provide a range of up to 100 meters (330 feet) and support the maximum allowed Bluetooth data throughput of 723,000 bits per second.The Model 4310BF is a USB adapter which can plug the USB port of either a Windows or Macintosh computer. The 4310BF is Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR compliant, supports the newest Bluetooth multi-media profiles including A2DP, and is RoHS Lead-free. It implements the Bluetooth Piconet protocol which supports concurrent connections with up to seven other Bluetooth devices.

Rating: - * Works great, but included BT stack doesn't support iTunes ... This product works great. I previously had a class 2 adapter, and whenever anyone used the microwave oven at work, I'd lose audio. Since switching to this device, I haven't had any problems with the microwave even when standing next to it. One thing to note, however, is that this adapter comes with the Toshiba Bluetooth stack. It (the Toshiba stack) supports avrcp, but apparently it doesn't work with iTunes. (i.e. You can't play/pause or control tracks.) I switched to the BlueSoleil stack, and everything works as expected now. If you use iTunes, I suggest you buy a different adapter that has the BlueSoleil stack included. But the adapter itself does its job, and does it well. Rating: - * Works! Great range.... ... Bought this to use with skype and my jabra headset. I was using the Kensington micro adapter, but it had really bad range, I had to be within 10 feet to get a clear signal, and if I turned my head I would get static. This unit, I can walk around my entire house, and even outside, and still maintain a connection. Very pleased. Scanning for devices displays neighbors laptops... wow. Rating: - * Rock solid software, if you need a USB Bluetooth module, this is the one ... I have had bluetooth built into laptops before and own slew of bluetooth peripherals. Some of my units in the past had summer drivers. Some are working and are sometimes not. Conflicts with bluetooth audio versus your onboard sound card will not be an issue with this unit on any windows laptop, I feel confident of that. Of course, pairing compatibility is not universal with any device. I have not found a problem with this one yet. This particular model has Toshiba hardware in it and works great. Zoom has many older models listed on the support section of their webpage, I can not vouch for any of the others since Zoom didn't make the hardware that's in this one. All I can say is that this model (which is actually a 4310BF model on Zoom's support site) is reliable, fast, carries a good strong signal on more every computer I have tried it on. The software can be reconfigured under options to allow you to choose the download and upload directories that are best for you, which I would recommend. Rating: - * first use ...
