Rating: - * It didn't even last 2 weeks & when I e-mailed, they ignored me. ... I bought this phone and when it arrived, it looked great, so I gave good feedback in good faith. After less than two weeks, I lost my cable phone service, and after having a service tech come, he told me my phone was the problem. I was confused since I had just purchased it!!! But he went and got a phone out of his van, and sure enough....there was a dial tone, and it all worked just fine. So, I sent the seller an e-mail explaining this, telling them that I had given them glowing feedback (read it..i really did)!!, and that I would expect the same good faith effort in return. OF COURSE I NEVER heard back from them. They got their money and after that, they don't care if they sell you crappy merchandise. Don't buy from these sellers as they are cold-hearted and only out for one thing.....and it has nothing to do with customer service, that's for sure!! So, I had to buy another phone, this time from a REPUTABLE retailer. I learned my lesson, and I hope I save one person from going through what I did. I don't care about the money...but they acted so concerned about their percentages and reputation, when in reality, they don't care about their customers at all. They shouldn't work with people, and then they could relax and not have to worry so much about being disengenuous liars. Happy Holidays to you and yours! Bye. Rating: - * Great replacement and easy to use ... Bought this on sale to repace cordless headset phone. This was intended just for my use but base ended up replacing defective unit in main house. Love being able to check voice mail from handset. Great hands free with speaker phone option. I have not had any negitive issues with this phone. Only wish it had a jack for external headset. Rating: - * A good cordless phone ... We are enjoying the convenience of having the answering system actually on the headset. And to be able to have the phone book on the headset. Rating: - * Excellent Basic Cordless Phone and Answering Machine ... Some reviewers have complained about static and poor range on this phone system and its other variations (3 and 4 handset models). All I can say is that we have been VERY pleased with this unit. We have a 1900+ square foot home and we can walk throughout the entire house (and yard!) without any static, range, or volume problems at all. Is the phone perfect? No. It's lacking some of the higher end features of more expensive models, but based on its reasonable price one shouldn't really expect it to come with power windows and a sunroof. Of note, it is missing a couple "basic" features, like a headset port and a belt clip. But if you can live without those, I can easily recommend this one. Rating: - * Terrible Range ... We wanted to upgrade our 90's cordless phone and went with this Uniden TRU9280-2 5.8GHz FHSS System. I can not tell you how terrible the range is and we have tried three different locations. Maybe 30 feet. And the instruction manual is worthless. Interstingly, they are very vague about range and never tell you how far it should be. And they have a million excuses as to what could be affecting it. So, we can not even use it in half our house. And the old phone worked fine range wise. Save your money and look elsewhere. |

Each episode is self-contained, from "Decalogue I" ("I Am the Lord Thy God"), the touching story of a boy who starts asking the hard questions of life from his rationalist father and religious aunt, to "Decalogue X" ("Thou Shalt Not Covet Thy Neighbor's Goods"), a comic tale of estranged brothers who bond through a winding ordeal involving their father's priceless stamp collection. There are stories of tragedy and triumph, both expansive and intimate, some profoundly moving and others delicately shaded--but all are warmed by Kieslowski's sympathetic direction and his eye for resonant, fragile imagery. Initially drawn together by location--the series is set in a dreary Warsaw apartment complex--a web of associations forms as characters pass through other stories, sometimes only briefly, and themes reverberate through the series. The Decalogue is ultimately a personal spiritual investigation into the soul of man, a work of quiet attention and deep emotion marked by astounding images and vivid characters. Each volume is also available individually on VHS. --Sean Axmaker
