The Uniden TCX860 is a supplemental handset for use with Uniden's 2-line TRU8866 expandable phone system. It supports the same handset features found on your existing system and operates on the same 5.8 GHz digital signal for clear calls and increased security.

The TCX860 does not require a phone jack for operation. It automatically configures itself to 'talk' directly with your phone system's base unit. Each system offers a different specification on expandability and features, so be sure to check your system to see how many handsets you should order.

Handset features include caller ID/call waiting, speakerphone, conferencing, call transfer between handsets, four-line backlit LCD, tri-lingual display options, illuminated keypad, walkie-talkie capability, room monitoring, and distinctive ring tones.

Rating: - * Finally...A phone system that works! ... We've gone through more than 7 phone systems in the past 9 years. Either the batteries didn't hold up, the frequency interfered with or was interfered by our wireless networks, the sound was horrible...you name it. We bought the TRU8866 about a year and half ago, and it's WONDERFUL! No issues with clarity, it works as a two way radio away from the base, you can use the handsets as baby/room monitors... it has any bells/whistles you need. The best part? One of our handsets was left in the rain...(yeah. I did it.) and we were still able to find a replacement, which is what this is. We also purchased the bright yellow waterproof handset to help me avoid having to replace more phones. This is an awesome system with very few drawbacks. Even after a year and a half, the batteries in our other four handsets are still holding a charge, which is nearly unheard of. I expect the same from this recent purchase. Rating: - * Nearly Indestructible! ... We use these phones at our Adventure Jeep Rental business and have found them to be nearly indestructible! Due to the nature of our business, the phones repeatedly get knocked off our belt and hit the ground. They have flown across the street, spent an hour in water when the phone fell into our wash bucket, they have landed in the mud and have even been completely run over by a Jeep....And they always keep working! Sound quality and range are excellent. We love these phones! Rating: - * portable office phone ... The product was delivered when promised and the setup and powering was very close to automatic. Rating: - * Uniden TC860 ... The product is defective and the seller has not responded to my emails. Rating: - * We like it ... We were looking for a two-line phone that can have at least one extra handset for another room. We also have the phone company's voicemail service, and so wanted our phone to be compatible for that. This phone works well on all counts. We tried, and returned, the Panasonic two-line phone first. We couldn't get the handsets to register properly, and it did not have a voicemail light (for phone company service) to alert to messages. The Uniden phone is small, easy to use--just right for us.
