Compatible with Uniden's CLX, T8, ELT, and VoIP series phones, this stylish expansion handset comes loaded with features, and delivers all the quality of your current Uniden system.
Using the 5.8 GHz digital frequency, the TCX400 is able to offer exceptionally clear conversation and increased range over traditional 900 MHz and 2.4 GHz phones. Caller ID and call waiting compatible, this handset has a 100-number caller ID memory and distinctive ring detection. It also comes with a USB cable, downloadable software, and an audio input cable, allowing you to download picture displays and record your favorite songs and audio files for use as ring tones.
A built-in speakerphone and headset compatibility provide you with hands-free communication options, while the built-in 100-name/400-number phone directory helps you to keep track of all of your contacts. A 10-number speed dial is also provided, and with handset-to-handset memory transfer, it's easy to exchange phone directory entries between handsets. A handset-to-handset call transfer feature lets you route incoming calls to another handset, while a built-in intercom lets you communicate with any other handset on the system. Three-way conferencing allows multiple handsets to communicate with an outside caller, and the DirectLink feature lets you utilize the TCX400 as a 2-way radio. You can also turn on the room/ baby monitor setting to hear whatever is going on at another handset location. The TCX also comes backed with a one-year limited warranty.

Rating: - * There is a redial feature ...
I purchased my set before the full color version was available. I'm not crazy about the orange display, but it's not bad. I love the individual ring tones- it's better than caller ID. I have a diffeent ring for each family member. All their phone number ring the same tone so I know who it is by the ring; don't even need to look. The only thing I'd like to be able to do is turn off the flashing message notification on the handset but even that is minor- I just need to pick up my messages. And, yes, there is a redial feature.
Rating: - * NO REDIAL, TERRIBLE LCD QUALITY ...
This phone has several major flaws. First, there is no redial, hard to believe, but true. Second, the orange color on the LCD is terrible. This color makes it hard to see the graphics, which are themselves annoying. Third, the LCD quality is very poor. Pictures,Words and numbers are grainy and appear very low tech, dated and obsolete looking. Lastly, the direct link/walkie talkie mode is a joke. It only works if the handsets are not in the charger and if you don't try to use the phone as a phone and if no calls come in. I would not buy this phone again. Between no redial and the terrible LCD orange color and LCD quality I'd have to advise you to keep looking. I have started looking again, and I'm stuck with 4 of these things!
Rating: - * Great Phone Set ...
5.8 GHZ clear, easy to use, and you can update other phones thru home computer.
Rating: - * Display ...
I got a fairly sophisticated display in the hopes that my poor vision would be aided by it. Wrong! The monchrome display and its hue are not helpful. Full color of course would be better, but; perhaps a different shade of monochrome would be easier to see.
Rating: - * Companion to Uniden CLX 465 ...
These were just hand sets that go with the CLX 465. Really the same product, so the results were the same
