A Bluetooth-enabled accessory handset, the ELX500 is the ideal companion for your Uniden ELBT585 or ELBT595 expandable phone system. It is also compatible with other ELT series and select T8, CLX, and VoIP series models. The handset offers a clear 5.8 GHz signal, exceptional range, and a wide array of handy features.

Caller ID/call waiting compatible, the handset's 100-number caller ID memory allows you to see a list of all recent incoming calls, while a 100-name and 400-number phone directory lets you keep track of all your important phone numbers. With the included USB cable, you can download pictures from your PC for use as handset background or as distinctive caller ID indicators. A 10-number speed dial makes dialing the most frequently dialed numbers quick and easy, and a display-and-dial feature lets you scroll through the caller ID and phone directory lists and call the displayed number simply by pressing the Talk button.



Handset-to-handset memory transfer lets you import phone numbers from another handset. The soft-key menu and joystick navigation provide a convenient way to access the phone's many features, via a full-color LCD. Menus can be set to one of three languages (French, English, and Spanish).

The ELX500 comes with 20 preset rings, as well as an audio cable that allows you to download your favorite songs or audio clips for use as ringtones. You can adjust handset and ringer volume levels to your liking, and also take advantage of Bluetooth headset compatibility. A last-number redial feature lets you quickly call any of the last 20 outgoing numbers, while a mute button lets you silence your end of the conversation while still allowing you to hear the other party.

In DirectLink mode, handsets are able to act as two-way radios, and a room/baby monitor setting lets you monitor another handset location. An intercom function lets you easily communicate with another handset, and conference calling lets multiple handsets communicate with an outside line. Handset-to-handset call transfer also lets you easily route incoming calls to another phone location. The ELX500 also comes backed with a one-year limited warranty.

Rating: - * dont buy this phone ... this phone sucks! has no range at all. i have a business, so i need a phone that has range. when you go past 15 ft. from the base you start to hear static. Rating: - * Great phone system despite complaints ... I have had two of these handsets and the base for almost 3 years (to replace my Siemens system). I have dropped them, keep them in the kitchen (phone and cook - great), have gotten them dirty, and one even has my dog's teeth marks on it. Yeah it does feel cheaply made but if it survived that long in my house then it has proved itself. The bluetooth is great and the only reason I gave it 4/5 is because it is cranky about paring with my and my husband's cell phones - but when he is gone it is the best extension of my cell no more sprinting up stairs when the phone rings. I have never had any call quality issues, just standard battery replacements, so the only down side is the cheapness of the feel and the display that looks like it was laid out for a moron instead of making it the features easy to find and stylish. Too bad they haven't updated it - and I paid no where near what others on this site are saying. About 200 all said and done three years ago.... Rating: - * uniden elx500 5.8ghz bluetooth phone ... compact design bluetooth enabled for hands free headset no problems at all just sensitive to to physical damage like driops or water. can easely be broken as long as you take care not to drop or spill liquids it should last a long time. this is the best phone ever i wish they kept improveing on the model instead of discountinuing it. Rating: - * Great Phone Addition to go with Main System ... These phones are pricy but for the quality they perform at its worth it. I brought them due to the flip deisgn, compact as well as the cell link feature. Its great being on one side of the house and having the cell ring, which makes the house phone ring and you can answer your cell directly off that. You can set and change rings, its just great. Great feature. The phone has many other features as well, caller Id, and intercom, so much more! Rating: - * Satisfaction ... I wanted a phone that I could use with my bluetooth capable cell phone and this one works like a charm. I can call using cell phone minutes from either ELX500 (I have two) or the cell phone itself. I can also answer a cell call from any of the three phones. These phones are very light weight and comes with a holder that clips to a belt. Too many features to list here.
