Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - * Great product! ...
I received the Baby Call 900Mhz as a Baby Shower present 2 1/2 years ago. It wasn't the most expensive monitor, nor with a lot of extra gadgets but as soon I started using it I loved it. You don't hear any static at all (unless you leave your AT&T phone near, create a loud interference). I loved the fact that you could hear the baby breathing, and making the slight movement, even when the monitor was placed in his changing table that was like 6 feet far from the crib. I liked it so much so when my sister got pregnant I told her to add the same monitor to her Baby Shower gift list. So she got the same for her baby, and the best part was that I count sync my receiver to her baby even when her room was upstairs. The only con that I find is that after 2 1/2 years my receiver "died", but I am not hesitating to get exactly the same one as a replacement!

I highly recommend this product!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - * Great monitor! ...
Like every first time Mom I looked at every possible product on the market. I think I first read about this monitor in Baby Bargains (GREAT book!) - looked at several monitors before deciding on this one and haven't regretted it for one minute. It was a good bit more expensive when we bought it 1 1/2 years ago (about $100 I think vs. the $50 or so you can get it for now). I'm sure every unit is different - I haven't had any problems with mine. So, here's my list:
Pros -
Rechargeable batteries - you don't know how much you'll love these
Crystal clear reception - no static
27 channels to choose from - important with all the electronics we now have
Easy to identify when out of range or needing recharge
Water resistant
Cons -
I'd love to have another receiver
Would like the range to be a little farther - it tends to beep when I walk out on the porch with it. Granted, that is the farthest point in the house away from the baby's room.

We're looking forward to our second child in December and I've started trying to get prepared. Looking at monitors for this room to get a head start and so far. Thought maybe there might be something better on the market after 2 years - guess not. Unless I hear of something new and great I'll likely get another Sony.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - * Baby Call easy to use and does the job ...
I ordered this because my elderly mother came home from the hospital and my dad needed a way to be able to hear her when she was alone and in bed. Without even reading any directions, I was able to pull this out of the package and just switch it on and figure it out. My elderly dad was wary of using anything electronic, but it was so straight forward and easy to use, and incredibly effective, it was a big success. He can hear her very easily. Someone misplaced the directions so we aren't sure how long the battery life is but so far, there haven't been any problems. This is a very effective device for caretakers of people who are sick and/or disabled.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - * Muy Buen producto ...
es increíble mente bueno y muy fácil de usar, incluso tiene un soporte para ponérselo al cinturón o la ropa y hacer las actividades que uno quiera.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - * Horrible interference, loses signal, pops and beeps ...
I too registered for this monitor based on the large number of favorable reviews on Amazon. After using this monitor for 5 months, I can give you this one piece of advice:

DO NOT BUY THIS BABY MONITOR

We live in a 900 sf apartment. Our babies room is no more than 20 feet from the furthest room in our apartment, the living room, where we keep the receiver. The monitor beeps, pops, clicks, and hisses so much that you are forced to turn it down, which kind of defeats the purpose of a baby monitor. The interference follows some kind of arcane rules ;for example, whenever someone walks in the "line of sight" between the monitor and the receiver, horrible interference. When the receiver is placed on the coffee table, terrible interference. If you even attempt to carry the monitor into one part of our living room, constant beeping. This thing is useless. We have tried switching the channels to every conceivable combination and none of them make any difference.

To top it off, the nifty "voice activation" feature that theoretically turns of the receiver when there's no noise does not work. If you have ANY source of background noise, such as an air purifier, within 6 feet of the monitor it stays on constantly. It is such a treat to have to hear not only the beeps and static from the monitor but also the constant tinny hum of our air purifier throughout the house.

When we were shopping for another monitor for my mother-in-laws' house we bought a $19.99 Graco monitor at Target that is crystal clear, even though the nursery is TWO STORIES below the area where we keep the receiver.

Skip this monitor.

Pros: Water resistant, switchable channels, voice activated (in theory)

Cons: Terrible interference, range alarm constantly beeps, channel switching does nothing, voice activation is triggered by constant background noise

Over the course of 15 hours on four double-sided DVDs, Chicago Bulls: The 1990s documents the Bulls' incredible run of six NBA championships in eight years led by the game's greatest-ever player, Michael Jordan. Like the earlier DVD release Ultimate Jordan, it collects a number of programs originally released on VHS, in this case the yearly highlight videos that summarized each of the six championship seasons, plus a five-minute introduction that covers the franchise starting in the 1960s and ending with its drafting of Jordan.

Where the NBA Dynasty series (the other initial entry is the slightly meatier Los Angeles Lakers: The Complete History) outdoes Ultimate Jordan is in the six playoff games--one for each year--as they were originally broadcast, minus halftime and commercials. Having the nearly complete game (usually running 90-100 minutes, from the TV introductions to post-game interviews) means you can skip straight to John Paxson's clutch basket or what was expected to be the final shot of Jordan's career. Or you can savor each game in its entirety, all the better to appreciate the artistry of Jordan in his three-pointer barrage against Portland or his "flu game" against Utah. You can see other great players too, of course, including Jordan's teammates--Scottie Pippen, Horace Grant, Dennis Rodman--and those opponents unfortunate enough to face the Bulls--Clyde Drexler, Charles Barkley, John Stockton, Karl Malone, and others. Because these are all NBA Finals games, you won't see Jordan's shot over Craig Ehlo or his 63-point coming-out party against Boston, but the 1990s Chicago Bulls were a team for the ages, and merely having their games--some of them all-time classics--available for home viewing is a major milestone in archived sports. --David Horiuchi

Perhaps more than any other sport, basketball is a star-driven event: Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Dennis Rodman, Shaquille O'Neal--the list could go on and on. But it's not necessarily these athletes' overall careers that we remember as much as the breathtaking individual plays these illustrious men have given us. Is it possible to break down a hundred of these greatest moments in NBA history? The NBA's 100 Greatest Plays certainly tries.

While last-minute heroics tend to be the standard by which we define excellence, there are many other moments that have left an indelible impression, many of them highlighted here. The video clips fall into 10 categories: Dunks, Alley-oops, Assists, Steals, Blocks, Teamwork, the Clutch Shot, Moves, Hustle, and Buzzer-Beaters. At the beginning of each section is a brief introduction. Before showing the top 10 dunks of all time, for example, we learn about the evolution of the dunk--from the first slam to the man who could fly, Michael Jordan--and we hear background commentary from NBA legends such as Magic Johnson, Charles Barkley, Dr. J, and Bill Russell. This video recalls familiar moments of NBA lore that you will want to own for countless repeat viewings. --Jeremy Storey
