Rating: - * Decent USB adapters, but.... ... If you are running XP SP3, you do not have to follow SMC's installation instructions. Just insert and let Windows install and configure. If you keep getting 'Validating Identity' when you try to connect, go to http://www.ehow.com/how_2326407_disable-validating-identity-wireless-network.html and follow instructions. You should connect without difficulty. I have two of these running on office laptops and they seem to work quite well so far. Rating: - * No 80211n ... I got it to work just fine on B and G but it would not see my N network. I used netgear wireless-n equipment so it may work fine with SMC Wireless-n routers but it did not work with netgear. Rating: - * Would Definately Recommend ... After doing some research online, reading reviews, etc. I decided to purchase this adapter. I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase. This is my first wireless device and the setup was very simple and easy to understand. The PC I use this with is in my basement with the router on the main floor and I always have a very strong, consistent signal. I also purchased an SMC wireless draft N 2.0 router (SMC SMCWBR14S-N2 Draft 11n Wireless 4-port Broadband Router, US power) and couldn't be more pleased with the ease of setup and strength of signal. So far I haven't experienced any resets or signal drops and I do a lot of online gaming. Rating: - * Great product! ... This adaptor never drops signal, I get a consistant 130Mbps from over 100 yards away. USB style adaptors allow you to adjust position for better signal. I have it on a 15ft active (powered) usb extender cable. I would purchase this product again. Rating: - * Product does not work ... This adapter would not install on my computer. The latest driver from the SMC website did not help. The network installation program reported a failure to load due to a missing file. The SMC website reported no network installation programs available for this product. The product did not uninstall cleanly, apparently leaving some registry entries. The product waw returned to Amazon, which resulted in a prompt and courteous refund. |

All three principals sing eloquently and with a fine sense of the opera's structure and context. Anna Tomowa-Sintow is in even better voice than Domingo, and Giorgio Zancanaro heads an expert supporting cast. The Covent Garden Chorus, directed with distinction by Michael Hampe, gives a memorable impression of the revolutionary mob. Julius Rudel's conducting is totally idiomatic. --Joe McLellan

Lotfi Mansouri spared no effort or expense in making this production special. He personally directed the staging, and handpicked an outstanding cast (right down to the very young and then-unknown Ben Heppner in the small role of Hervey). The visual elements--sets, costumes, and camera work--are also handled with great care, and Sutherland's positive response to this dedication can be sensed in her performance as the unfortunate wife of King Henry VIII. James Morris is best-known as a Wagnerian singer--perhaps the leading Wotan of our time--but he is equally at home in many of the villainous roles that are the fate of bass- baritones (Iago, Scarpia, Don Giovanni). In this sinister tale of an innocent woman ruthlessly destroyed, he shows a surprising knack for the bel canto style. Judith Forst is also excellent in the role of Jane Seymour. --Joe McLellan
