* SimpleTech 4 in one ...
Laptop not have a SD or Memory Stick card reader, and you are wondering about spending the extra cash to get one that does? Here's your answer. I use the Memory Stick (pictures) and SD Card (PDA) on a regular basis and I LOVE this little guy. Plugs in/out with ease, card insertion is easy, and the transfer rates are fast. Whatever card is inserted reads like another drive, so file copying/moving is just like the rest.

* Cut the cables ...
I use this card reader with a Simpletech 256 MB SD card and my Canon SD10 (Digital Elph). The card lives inside my laptop, and it essentially creates a SD port. I don't own any of the other types of media that it supports, but for my SD card it is perfect. I don't have to worry about keeping track of the messy USB cable that came with the camera--I just pull the SD card out of the camera and slip it into my laptop, and Windows XP immediately recognizes it. Couldn't be easier. It also uploads the images to my computer MUCH faster than the USB (1.0) connection.
