Rating: - * Samsung LN46A630 ... Great Picture and exceptional value. Did a lot of research and cheapest we could find this product antwhere was $1,700. Can't find a better TV anywhere for under $1,500 with all the features of the A630. Only downside is that it did not have the Red Touch of Color as advertised. I complained to Samsung and they admitted that some units were shipped without it in error and agreed to send someone to the hose to fix it, but we decided to keep it as is. Didn't want anyone taking apart our perfectly good set. Everyone who watches it is amazed by the picture, especially sports! Rating: - * Perfect ... Ya have to be a bit nervous when ordering an item of this size and value on-line. The item showed up in ½ the time expected, in perfect condition and by a most courteous delivery person. Really couldn't ask for much more. Rating: - * Just Buy IT! ... I know do you really want to make a purchase this size over the internet.I did the same thing ,but just do it.You can't beat the price,no tax and no shipping its a no brainer. When my tv arrived there wasn't the smallest mark on the box. The picture is great the matte screen does not reflect I am very impressed, and I figured I saved about $600 can't go wrong with this tv. The red toc is almost non-existant on this model so there is no distraction from the color I have windows on one side as well as opposite the tv and only in certain light is it a problem but it is way better than my tube tv. All in all no complaints and don't worry amazon is great to deal with and the shipping was painless. Rating: - * Great TV ... I researched LCD's for a while and then when I saw Samsung recommended on Consumer Reports, I decided to go with that brand (although there are plenty and they all look good at the stores). CR had the LN46A550 listed, but when we got to the store, the LN46A630 was available for a few hundred more dollars, but had the 120Hz, higher contrast ratio, and faster reponse time. I found the SD viewing terrible, but attribute it to the cable reception/quality, not the TV. The HD programs and Blue Ray are incredible. I wasn't aware the 650 was "glossy" vs. matte, but we do have a bright room and there is not an issue, so I'm glad we chose the 630. Fantastic TV! Rating: - * Samsung LN46A630 ... TVis excellent. Meet all our expectations. Amazon delivery and set up was perfect. We give the experience the highest recommendation. |

The real joy of the set, however, is nine NBA playoff games presented as they were originally broadcast and almost in their entirety. They last about 90-100 minutes with TV introductions and post-game interviews, but minus halftime, commercials, and some slower moments. The games include such absolute classics as the game in which rookie Magic Johnson started at center in place of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and the 1987 "baby hook" game against the Boston Celtics. If you're used to watching current NBA games you might be tempted to just skip to the end, but it's surprisingly rewarding to watch the game develop, to watch the game's superstars strut their stuff (or see a couple of 1972 reserves named Phil Jackson and Pat Riley), and to observe how radically the sport has changed over the years. Variable picture quality and technical glitches are unavoidable (even the 2002 game looks washed out), but this is the first time complete or nearly complete NBA games have been available in the home-video era, and they probably still look better than the VHS tapes you've been saving over the years. Yes, it'd be easy to argue about which games from the Lakers' long history should have been included, and the highlight videos don't have a ton of replay value, but the NBA Dynasty series is a major milestone in archived sports. --David Horiuchi
