Amazon.com Item Description:
With the Sabrent SBT-SRD2 Silicon Image Serial ATA 2-Port RAID PCI Controller Host Card Adapter, it is easy to add Serial ATA (SATA) ports and RAID 0 and RAID 1 to your system.

The card provides a 32-bit 33/66 Mhz PCI interface on the host side and two fully compliant Serial ATA ports on the device side. This permits you to connect two SATA drives for RAID 0 (striping) and RAID 1 (mirroring). RAID 0 increases performance by writing data to multiple drives simultaneously and RAID 1 protects data from failure by writing data to both drives so there is a backup in case one drive fails. Hard drives larger than 137 GB are supported and the Serial ATA interface has transfer rates of 1.5 Gbps.

The card requires Windows 98SE, Windows ME, Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows Server 2003, or Linux or Novell Netware. Drivers for Windows operating systems are included.

What's in the Box

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - * Awesome product survived TEN computers and still going. ...
Hey guys,

This thing is so great, I've installed the same card on 11 computers in less than three years, one even have windows 2008, but no -- I've had no problems. I've included the list below as a grand testimony to its greatness. My servers have Windows Servers 2003 (various editions). Again, there were no incident.

1) VPRMATRIX1800 ======== $1800 Dream Matchine (P4 256kb 400Mhz 1.8 512mb DDR-400 w/ Geforce2)

2) MitchelleSERVER01 ==== Gigabyte GA9IVDT, XEON 3.8 Ghz DDR2-400 EM64T Rage II

3) VPRMATRIX [rebuilt from #1] -- P4 256kb 1.8 Ghz 2GB DDR-400 with Wildcat Realizm 100

4) DELL OPTIPLEX ====== Xeon 3.8 Ghz 2mb 4GB DDR2 DIMM +1GB DDR2 SIMM

5) CLIENT a (P4 3.06 Ghz. Prescott 512mb) 1GB super low-latency DDR-400 Wildcat Realizm 100

5) USER -- a (P4 1.4 Ghz (512kb 400Mhz) RDIMM--800Mhz w/ Geforce6200 PCI)

6) DEV-SERVER03 ==== 4 x NEC Express5800 PIII Xeon 6GB SDRAM Geforce6200 DDR2 OC

7) FRONT END -- P4D 2x2mb (dual core) , 1mb DDR2-533, Geforce8600 GT OC

8) FRANCISSTRONG Gateway 3.0 Ghz (800 Mhz. Northwood) 2GB DDR-400 Geforce 7300LE 128mb

9) MitchellSERVER-03 4x XEON MP 1.4 Ghz. 4gb DDR

10) MARA Custom 3.0 Ghz (800 Mhz Northwood) 3.0 Ghz (800Mhz Northwood) 3.5GB DDR-400

11) MNMAIN -- (cannot release details yet,. Its still in service)

By the way, Its also good for bypassing S.M.A.R.T, not that you should ever do such a thing. And the driver? Its just a standard Silicon Image driver. Nice disk with good device cross-compatiblity. I've had my "wow!" moments.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - * Works well but nightmare to install ...
This card works fine but the driver was a nightmare to install. XP recognizes the card but refuse to install the driver. Tried to download the latest driver online but still didn't work. Read in couple forums that you need to flash/update your bios to recognize the driver if your computer is old or your motherboard is a particular brand. Anyhow, finally got it to work.

Also, I think one manufactures makes all the SATA RAID cards it just gets re-branded so you might still experience this issue even if you purchase another brand. (I bought two different branded SATA raid PCI cards and they were both made by the same manufactures giving me the same exact driver problems.)

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - * Easy to install, its does what is suppose to... ...
easy to install, drivers and instruction are clear... but my hard drives give me more points with the mobo/RAID controller (intel). than with this card... (drop a few points only...)

There are but two kinds of people in the world: Those captivated by Baz Luhrmann's heady, postmodernist musical romp Moulin Rouge--and everybody else. Oddly, the film's initial soundtrack release may have been the project's most traditional element, marketing a slate of pop-star contributions that gave listeners a sometimes-skewed perspective on its true musical charms. This follow-up corrects much of that oversight, offering original film versions of "Sparkling Diamonds" (the lavish, Nicole Kidman-performed medley of "Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend" and "Material Girl"), Jim Broadbent's and Richard Roxburgh's loopy take on "Like a Virgin," as well as the lively Offenbach "Can Can" parody "The Pitch (Spectacular Spectacular)." It also pays homage to the efforts of composer Craig Armstrong, whose quietly compelling underscore often binds the film's other far-flung musical influences together, be they stately orchestral readings of Elton John's "Your Song," a dramatic arrangement for Kidman and Ewan MacGregor's original film duet of "Come What May," or his dark, melodramatic take on Queen's "The Show Must Go On." The first Moulin Rouge soundtrack collection flaunted the film's bold, cross-genre ambitions; this one chronicles its nakedly emotional heart and soul. --Jerry McCulley

It would be easy to dismiss Kelly Osbourne's musical ambitions based on 1) Her royally obnoxious behavior on the family's MTV reality series, 2) Her overly manufactured debut album, Shut Up, and 3) That voice, which up until now, sounded like cats on a chalkboard. But spare a moment for the bratty singer's follow-up effort, a remarkably faithful new-wave throwback, which generously references everyone from Duran Duran to Missing Persons. Producer Linda Perry not only effectively revives the dramatic sounds and melodies of the era but offers songs that perfectly suit Osbourne's, er, constrained vocal range. The resulting disc is full of guilty pleasures like "Uh Oh" and "Redlight," tunes that should strike a chord with anyone that still gets a thrill out of happening upon basic cable reruns of "Sixteen Candles." --Aidin Vaziri
