Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - * Worthless ...
I don't do normally do product reviews but I am so disappointed by this product I have to.

I bought these to use with my laptop to play audio files in a language class. Unfortunately, the speakers on the laptop are louder. And the speakers on my EeePC 1000H are not the best. Thinking something was up I tried it on multiple products, including my main computer, MP3 player, stereo, and portable CD player with the same craptastic results. In fact, they are just barely louder than a crappy pair of 10 year old Sony headphones.

As others have posted, please be warned, these speakers have horrible sound volume.

Save your money or buy something else.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - * Very efficient speakers ...
I bought these for my laptop, Motorola W490 phone (has a media player in it), SanDisk mini mp3/wma player (runs on a single AAA battery for 7 hours), & my solar powered Kato solar powered pocket radio. In all the above apps, the speakers sounded surprisingly good for such small (un-powered) speakers, at such a low price.

My laptop speakers are only 1/4"x 1 1/2" each. The other units don't have speakers... headphones only.

These speakers are very efficient considering most earphone jacks only put out around 10-50 milliwatts (.01-.05 watts)of sound power. You won't rattle the windows with these, but they do deliver more quality sound per milliwatt than anything else I've found yet... exactly what I was looking for.

These are not "amplified" speakers & are not powered by batteries or an AC adapter. They are powered by the audio power coming directly from your earphone jack on your player, laptop, PC, or radio.

Earbuds inside your ear do not require as much power to sound loud, as speakers will to fill a whole room. The volume & sound quality of the speakers will depend on the quality & power coming out of your earphone jack.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - * puts out great sound for my home office ...
I have an old portable AM/FM/CD player w/ AC adapter I wanted to use in my home office for a radio. I didn't want to have to deal with yet another AC adapter and my player is better than a lot of radios I looked at. I picked these up for $10 at a retail store. I have the volume set at 3/4 of the max level on player and the speakers are loud enough for my needs and sound great.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - * Great sound... for what it is ...
I bought a pair of these on a whim because the price was so low. Obviously, I wasn't expecting too much considering my MP3 player's headphone jack would be powering them, and they were far too small for any real bass output.

Since my standards were low, I was more than satisfied once I got them. I basically just use them for audio books and talk radio, and for that purpose, they leave little to be desired. There's also light, small, and require no batteries, so taking them along on a hike or camping trip to serve as ambiance is a great idea.

Will they blow you away with room-filling sound? Um, no. But they're far better than the built-in speakers from your cellphone, and easier to transport than a boombox.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - * Good Products under this price ...
I owed a lot of pc speakers before. The quality of this product is very good under this price range. It is simple to use and weight is light which can carry everywhere. It doesn't need any battery to operate which I don't need to worry about running out the battery. Even it can't adjust the volume through the speaker, I tried to use my notebook to raise the volume up to the highest, the sound of the speakers were still very clear. This is very amazing. I will recommend this product to my friends who have limited budget and/or always need to travel.

The KX-TGA270S from Panasonic is an add-on extension handset designed for use with KX-TG2700S, KX-TG2720S, KX-TG2730S, or KX-TG2740S Expandable Cordless Systems. By utilizing the 2.4 GHz frequency band, as well as Frequency Hopping Digital Spread Spectrum (FHSS) technology, the KX-TGA270S provides crisp, clear reception even at significant distance from the base.

An illuminated keypad makes dialing easy in the dark, while a headset jack gives you the option of hands-free operation. Four-way conferencing allows you to talk with multiple people, while a two-way intercom lets you communicate with family and friends near the other phone.

With call waiting, you won't miss any important calls, while Caller ID (with subscription to telephone company services) means you can avoid those calls you would rather miss. A great way to expand your current Panasonic phone system, the KX-TG2700S also features six selectable ring tones as well as a handset volume control. Panasonic also provides a one-year parts and labor warranty.

Wonderful Town is a terrifically fun musical, but do you really need this recording? The answer will be yes if you fall within one of these two categories: (a) You collect recordings of the show and must own them all or (b) you're a huge fan of Brooke Shields. The actress replaced Donna Murphy in the lead role of the 2003 Broadway revival, and did a creditable job bringing Ruth Sherwood to gawky life during her five-month run. Shields performs over the same instrumental tracks you can hear on the revival's prime recording. (Jennifer Hope Wills replaces Jennifer Westfeldt as Eileen Sherwood; the rest of the cast is unchanged.) From a purely vocal point of view, the switch wasn't an upgrade--Murphy is among Broadway's best stylists after all--though Shields is far from being an embarrassment. She may not have the technique, but her comic gusto is winning. Still, this CD remains for completists only. --Elisabeth Vincentelli
