Rating: - * Better mini-system with a CD burner ... In 2002, I bought this stereo from Smart Bargains and it had and still has a much better sound than the RCA one. The reason I bought it was for burning CDs. I done a lot of transferring of my LP collection to CDs with good results. Although, it has only a 3-CD changer. You can mix songs from CDs as well as recording from the radio. Recommended for those who record LPs from it rather than the computer. Rating: - * Problem solution (disc tray + shut off) ... Hello I had the same problem with the unit, after 30 sec. the unit shut off + the Cdr disc tray wont come out. Solution: Open the stereo and look at the power supply, there is a capacitor 6800uF/16V,this one is broke (leaking) replace this one by a type with a higher voltage 6800uF/50V.The original is 16V but the voltage where it is located is 12V so there is to little reserve. With a 50V type you have enough reserve. The 50V is a little bigger but there is enough place to put it. I replaced it and it is OK. I don't have the remote controle, where can i get it? Rating: - * Another great product! ... Here it is for the first time, a mini hi-fi with intergrated cdr/w. When it comes to audio and digital recording then there ain't much better than philips. Ive used the product quite breifly and found it great. I was able to operate it with confidence without reading the instructions, it all feels solidly built and the sound quality is top notch. The recording quality is above average and will satisfy most users. The only downside for some is that cassette decks aren't included in the package but why record on cassette when you got a CD recorder instead? Rating: - * Lemon, part 2 ... Picked up my "fixed" unit, it worked only once!!! Can't get the burned CD out! I think they need to get the bugs worked out of this unit. It's such a hassle to put it all back into the packaging....I would purchase with caution. Rating: - * A Lemon? ... I bought this unit and the CD player never worked. Returned it and got another one. It worked good for about 3 months, then the eject function on the CD recorder stopped working and I couldn't get the CD's out- unless I unplugged it for a day. ...Then the CD recorder stopped working altogether....It is currently in route to someone to fix it. I did like it when it worked! It has to break down three times to get a totally new unit. UGH> KEEP THE BOX AND PACKAGING! |
