Rating: - * excellent phone ... I bought this phone because I have had a panasonic before and it was excellent. Then I had bought a uniden and it had a clicking sound like an electric fence was in the background I just couldn't take it any more so I got rid of it. This phone is nice and I do like how it lights up and the ring is loud and no matter where it is in the house you can find it. The only thing I don't like about the new phones today, unlike my last panasonic, is that all the new phones look to plastic. I also like how this phone programs all phones when you program the one. I would recomend this phone to anyone. Rating: - * New digital cordless talking phone ... Clear sounds, easy set up, talking voice easy to understand, decent clarity far from base unit. It was a good purchase. This is my second Panasonic talking phone (my first model was their first and I loved it) and I'm very pleased with it. Reviewers mentioned it was difficult to program; however, I found it simple after reading the directions/manual. I was pleased how easy it integrated itself into my voice mail system, as well as, ease of interfacing the voice mail with the use of the panasonic answering machine. I enjoy the fact the if you program one phone, it automatically programs the other phones. Overall, I am extremely pleased with this product and found that many of the reviewers complaints to be unfounded. Perhaps because I am used to the talking phone voice, it's easy to understand versus review comments. I also have found the clarity, lack of interference and static a great improvement. Rating: - * Talking caller ID not very useful ... I bought this phone today specifically for the talking caller ID. This is a relatively old feature, although perhaps not for the DECT 6.0 technology. My Panasonic answering machine that is 12 years old has this and it works very well. It also announces the caller phone number within the first ring or two. The new one takes longer. Worse, the new machine only announces "call from cellular phone" rather than announcing the cell phone number when you get a call from a cell phone. My old phone announces the phone number for ALL phones unless they're unlisted. Since probably half the phone calls I get are from cell phones, in my mind this makes the talking ID feature pretty useless. Hopefully there's a fix for this or the new phone is going back where I bought it. Anyone else notice this problem? Rating: - * Everything I was looking for and more ... What a great phone. I was surprised on how clear this phone is and it even talks. If the number is stored, it will announce the name you created with that number. If not, it will announce the number calling. No more running to see the caller ID message. My only regret is that I didn't order the three handset system so to replace all my phones with this system. Mainly due to each handset will announce who is calling as well as the base station. Another nice feature is after you enter your address book, every handset will acknowledge the address book so you don't have to enter it in each handset. Panasonic does offer additional handsets for this system but they run about $40 each so it's more cost effective if you know going in how many handsets you want. Rating: - * Great sound but not so user friendly ... This phone has great sound on both ends and on the speakerphones. It also lets you enter your often used numbers only once for all handsets, which is very nice, and the handsets hold a charge for an extraordinarily long time. Playing back messages is not intuitive, although I expect if I reread the instructions, I will have no problem. The price varied a lot across vendors, so look for the deals! |
