Rating: - * perfect accesory ... i have used my camara without the silicon cover, even when it is shockproof it got some scratches. after using the clear cover I felt more confortable using it. i highly recommed the use. Rating: - * Very nice cover ... Fits camera just right and everything functions properly, but it is diffcult to read labels on buttons. Rating: - * Good value ... Silicon skin works well at protecting my 1030 SW. I carry the camera in my pocket all the time so protection is important. It blocks access to film and battery ports as well as the connection port but allows access to all the controls. It is easy to remove and reinstall. I would buy it again, but since the shipping was 4 times the cost I would find another merchant to purchase it from. Rating: - * Excellent option ... This is a great product. It has a tacky feel which makes the camera easy to grip even with wet hands. If you lay the camera down, the case is just thick enough to hold it off the surface. It protects the the finish of the camera during normal use. It is easy to peel it back to get at the battery and card. Rating: - * ESSENTIAL for surfing with the Olympus camera ... If you surf with the Olympus, you MUST get this skin to protect your investment. I surfed with the first Olympus 1030sw and kept it my my trunks pocket. The USB door came open and it flooded late in the first week of use on a surf trip to Nicaragua. Say goodbye to $350 for the camera. I bought another Olympus 1030sw, same model to replace it, and the skin keeps the USB and battery/card doors from coming open. Best eleven bucks you can spend, saves you from buying a new camera!!! It's three movies in one, beginning when punctuality-obsessed Federal Express systems engineer Chuck Noland (Tom Hanks) departs on Christmas Eve to escort an ill-fated flight of FedEx packages. Following a mid-Pacific plane crash, movie number two chronicles Chuck's four-year survival on a remote island, totally alone save for a Wilson volleyball (aptly named "Wilson") that becomes Chuck's closest "friend." Movie number three leads up to Chuck's rescue and an awkward encounter with his ex-girlfriend Kelly (Helen Hunt, in a thankless role), for whom Chuck has seemingly risen from the grave.
It's fascinating to witness Chuck's emerging survival skills, and Hanks's remarkable physical transformation is matched by his finely tuned performance. With slow, rhythmic camera moves and brilliant use of sound, Zemeckis wisely avoids the postcard prettiness of The Black Stallion and The Blue Lagoon to emphasize the harshness of Chuck's ascetic solitude, and this stylistic restraint allows Cast Away to resonate more than one might expect. Even the final scene--which feels like a crowd-pleasing compromise--offers hope without shoving it down our throats. You may not feel the emotional rush that you're meant to feel, but Cast Away remains a respectable effort. --Jeff Shannon
