Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - * Don't waste your money ...
I've had this printer for a little over a month. Today was the SECOND time that I've spent well over an hour on the phone with customer support. To make things worse, the man was so hard to understand that it took 15 minutes just to get my personal information inputed! By far the WORST printer I have ever bought. Constantly jamming. Not worth the trouble for AVERAGE print quality. Buyer beware!!!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - * You can try to kill it...it will not die! ...
My last HP printer lasted about 5 years (and still worked pretty well when I upgraded), so I decided to go with the HP again.

Came home a little tipsy one night, ran into my desk, sending the printer crashing onto the wooden floor and into pieces. Next morning put pieces back and it works good as new. These guys at HP are getting better at making some sturdy machines.

Also, it prints nice.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - * Well designed and compact, recommend the HP 5280 ...
We had a project of printing over 100 CD disks. We owned an Epson R300 and had used it for this purpose a couple of times. We couldn't get it to print on CD's. After spending several days on it, support was useless, we decided to try the HP C5280 and not buy another Epson. We found the HP 5280 very nicely designed. Easy installation and set up and prints beautifully on CD's. It prints beautiful photos also. We have only had it a week but so far so good. I would recommend this printer if you want an inexpensive, nice photo and CD printer. It also scans and copies and prints photos directly from the memory card. For the reviewer that was upset that a power cord didn't come with it, I would say when was the last time you purchased a printer? They are almost never included. The ink jet cartridges seem to be lasting a long time. Not like my Canon all in one 780 that needs a new cartridge on a regular basis and I don't print that much. As far as the EPson R 300, we are giving it away. My husband has an HP 1150C that we purchased years ago. An antique in todays world of printing and it is still going strong and we have never had a problem with it. I would recommend HP printers and I would recommend the Canon also except for fact that it is an ink hog.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - * Great Value/Quality for the Price! ...
I've not been a fan of "all-in-one" machines in the past, since you would assume you're comprimising on the quality a bit to get the combo convenience. I was VERY pleasantly surprised with the printing quality and number of features on this printer! It will do manual duplexing (steps you the process of reloading paper to print side 2), prints on CD-ROM's, photo printing (beware -- printing more than a few photos will seriously eat up ink!), scanner is excellent quality, even provides software for text-recognition. All-in-all, I'm thrilled with this printer. I'm pretty much a techno-junkie, wanting all the latest toys, and this one has satisfied me thus far (have had it since Feb 2008).

The only folks I wouldn't recommend this for -- those looking to print all the photos out .. I would tell them to keep looking for a small photo-dedicated printer that won't use so much ink. We print just a few photos here and there for special projects, or when we're in a rush to see them from our digital camera, and the big photo orders go to either a local or online processor for discounted prints.

This printer is an excellent choice for all-around use, I've used it produce professional quality catalogs, brochures, invitations, etc.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - * I LOVE this machine ...
I received the HP All-in-One for a birthday present and I am so glad that I did. It is very, very well made, quite sturdy. I can do just about everything that I need to do with one push of a button, from printing photos, to scanning, to making a DVD label. How great is that?
I have found the quality to be very good and it is just so simple to use.
I am not a computer wiz, but I installed the software mayself with absolutely no problem and away I was printing in a very short time.
I highly recommend this product. It is very quiet and does the jobs you need done ver well. Give it a try.

Tab Benoit's album titles leave little doubt as to where he's from or the music he plays. Brother to the Blues, Fever for the Bayou, Wetlands, and now Power of the Pontchartrain exude the sweaty Louisiana swamp, blues, and R&B inherent in their names. But that only tells part of the story--the rest is in the grooves where Benoit's distinctive, grainy voice and tough Telecaster leads bring soul, grit, and intensity to a sound already infused with an earthy sensibility. There's more of the same on this disc, but that's no criticism. Benoit generally sticks with others' songs here, yet he unearths hidden gems. Julie Miller's "Midnight and Lonesome" is dragged into the murky swamps as a driving ballad with eerie qualities that live up to its name. Miller and husband Buddy are also credited with the righteous-yet-rugged gospel of "Shelter Me." "Somebody's Got to Go," originally by Lonnie Johnson, gets a crisp, frisky makeover, and even Buffalo Springfield's crusty "For What It's Worth" takes a swim in the muddy waters of Benoit's home state, with a little help of some altered, post-Katrina lyrics. The guitarist lets his Cajun influences fly on the bouncy rhythms of "Sac-Au-Lait Fishing," the album's only original, and shifts into pleading Otis Redding mode for the aching blues ballad "I'm Guilty of Lovin' You." The Chicago-by-way-of-the-Delta shuffle of "One Foot in the Bayou" is also an apt description of Benoit's approach. He touches on a variety of Americana styles, yet always keeps part of himself planted firmly in the wetlands of his roots. --Hal Horowitz
