Rating: - * Cheaply made, cheaply priced ... This item is very cheap, and that is why I purchased it. But after several uses, the contact prongs pulled out and got stuck in the electrical outlet. So, I purchased a replacement. Guess what? Same result. The old saying, you get what you pay for, reigns true here. I recommend ordering a better, more expensive model. Or, order a handful of these because they break so often. Rating: - * First charger faulty, second worked ... Although the first charger I received didn't work, when I contacted the seller (SPplanet) they quickly sent a replacement that has been working fine. For the the price I don't think I can really complain. Just make sure whatever company you're buying from has a good replacement policy and you'll end up saving yourself a bundle. Rating: - * Doesn't work with 2nd gen Nano ... I debated a few days whether I should get it for my 2nd generation iPod Nano, but decided to go ahead and buy it since the price was much cheaper compared to other options. Sadly, this charger does not appear to work for my Nano (tried it both in the United States and Europe). It makes my Nano screen flicker and changes the tone of colors on the screen. It didn't destroy the iPod by just trying it, but I was too afraid to leave it charging for an extended period of time since the iPod started getting too warm and the screen was still flickering. The charger I received is slightly different from the one pictured. It is possible that some of these chargers work with 2nd gen nano and others don't. Rating: - * Works great! ... No complaints here. No frills or fancy packaging, but I'd rather not pay extra for that. My iPod charged right up (even in Costa Rica!) and I have been 100% satisfied with my purchase. Rating: - * If you need one of these, this is one. ... At under $2, it is hard to argue with this widget. It works and it's almost free. Why wouldn't you get one? I gave these out as stocking-stuffers last Christmas 'cause it will work with anything that charges from USB -- not just iPods. Cell-phones, whatever. |

The real joy of the set, however, is nine NBA playoff games presented as they were originally broadcast and almost in their entirety. They last about 90-100 minutes with TV introductions and post-game interviews, but minus halftime, commercials, and some slower moments. The games include such absolute classics as the game in which rookie Magic Johnson started at center in place of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and the 1987 "baby hook" game against the Boston Celtics. If you're used to watching current NBA games you might be tempted to just skip to the end, but it's surprisingly rewarding to watch the game develop, to watch the game's superstars strut their stuff (or see a couple of 1972 reserves named Phil Jackson and Pat Riley), and to observe how radically the sport has changed over the years. Variable picture quality and technical glitches are unavoidable (even the 2002 game looks washed out), but this is the first time complete or nearly complete NBA games have been available in the home-video era, and they probably still look better than the VHS tapes you've been saving over the years. Yes, it'd be easy to argue about which games from the Lakers' long history should have been included, and the highlight videos don't have a ton of replay value, but the NBA Dynasty series is a major milestone in archived sports. --David Horiuchi
