Love it once I got the fool thing to work. THIS IS MY SECOND UNIT. My first one died after 4+ years of use. This item has been discontinued which upset me because I loved my first unit. The seller had one that was esentially new. I lucked out.
MAJOR problems getting it to work. Turns out my install was complicated by the fact I had a previous unit. After jumping through hoops (uninstalling ALL previous software etc), I got it to work well.
As a combination unit, it is great. It does all sorts of things.
As a GPS unit only - there are better units being sold today.
I hope this unit lasts at least as long as my previous unit.
Great product if you want a unit that has several other applications beside GPS.

The Garmin i-Que 3600 unit advertised from bigdaddy 675 on Amazon.com was advertised as being a complete unit in good working condition. I purchased it based on this information. What I received was a defective unit which could not beam or receive infra-red information at all, it has no serial number!!! and it did not have the a stylus, without which the unit is incomplete. I have tried on a number of occasions to contact this seller through Amazon.com without any success over a period of 20 days. I have now placed this credit card purchase in dispute. An extremely bad experience with this seller

I love Garmin GPS products and the PDA function of this device is great also. As long as you keep it charged and do not let the battery die it is a great product. I do not like the dash mount that does not suction cup to the window. I had this product for 3 years now and it slides across the dashboard. I had to purchase the suction cup with makes it 100% better. It also fits right into my purse for easy travel. I do not leave it in the car to prevent it from being stolen.

Realize that this unit is discontinued and probably with good reason: it just doesn't hold up. My first one lost the ability to find any satellite signals. To Garmin's great credit they replaced it even 'though it was several months out of warranty. No argument, didn't even have to ask, they just did it which leads me to believe that they knew they had problems with the design of this unit. My second one has just failed the same way about 10 months later and this time Garmin want $150 to repair/replace it. I wouldn't mind the charge so much but the fact that it has happened twice makes me think I'll only get another year out of it so why bother?
The maps were out of date when this thing was new and not just for new roads or developments. A major road near here has been a divided highway for ~20 years but the iQue database knew nothing about that.
Disappointed that my ~$500 investment has only lasted me 2 years. Agree with the others about poor battery life - you could NEVER use this unit for walking for example and somewhat of a compromise as a PDA. Should have stuck with separate units but tried to save money.

Edit: just came back to add that I used the iQue successfully with an external antenna for some time after this review was written and it worked well - except, of course, for the inconvenience of having an additional wire hanging down and having to take down the antenna each time I left the car. At least the thing was still usable.

It works great, and I can use it on my boat (including the fishing calculator that's built in!) Would be neet to be able to choose a man's voice instead of the woman's though. Most women are always getting lost!

On their debut album, 1999's Something About Airplanes, Death Cab for Cutie proved there's a reason why Northwest music critics continue to sing their praises. The foursome combined the emo sounds of Modest Mouse and 764-Hero with an inventive, and often sly, sentimentality. It worked wonders, but still sounded a little too lo-fi. Luckily, on We Have the Facts and We're Voting Yes the group has figured out all the production nuances that flawed that auspicious debut. The opening "Title Track" begins by sounding both crappy and shallow, but the band is merely pulling your leg; two minutes later, the tune expands into a gorgeous, well-produced masterpiece. The album never looks back. Ben Gibbard's songwriting continues to evolve--"Company Calls" segues into, what else, the slower "Company Calls Epilogue"--while the simple lyrics of "For What Reason" and "405" tell infectious stories that demand repeated listenings. Proof positive the Northwest is still churning out great music. --Jason Verlinde

The first Black Box Recorder album, 1998's England Made Me, was originally conceived by Auteurs and Baader Meinhof frontman Luke Haines as a typically baleful response to the cultural and political hysteria--respectively, Britpop and Tony Blair--then gripping Britain. Recorded with the help of former Jesus & Mary Chain drummer John Moore and singer Sarah Nixey, it did for Britpop roughly what the film Carrie did for the senior prom. The Facts of Life, the follow-up, maintains the withering glare but fixes it this time on the personal. The songs here obsess with unnerving clarity and mordant wit on the banal, cruel details of human relationships and are narrated perfectly by Nixey. Where her perfectly English-accented whisper infused England Made Me with the air of a bored aristocrat finding contemptuous amusement in the misery of others, on The Facts of Life she has located an edge of taunting viciousness all the more diabolical for being so understated. The tunes, as ever, are sweet and insidious, perhaps best thought of as Saint Etienne turned feral. Highlights on an album full of them are "English Motorway" and "The Art of Driving"--BBR triumphantly reclaiming the American rock & roll prerogative of the road song for their damp, claustrophobic homeland. The Facts of Life is a masterpiece. --Andrew Mueller
