Rating: - * Works with Apple AirPort Extreme via USB. ... I needed a printer I could set up at home for 3 students. Me my wife and my son. All 3 of us needed to network print via wireless. Also we all have macintosh computers running Leopard 10.5. This printer is awesome! It works flawlessly each and every time I print. The only time it is a minor inconvenience is when I have to scan something. Then I need to hook up the USB to the laptop needing the scan. Other than that it is great! I copy items for people, print out reports etc. The ink has been great too. I bet I have run at least 5000 sheets through it and only replaced the cartridges once. I don't print photos and if I did I am sure the cartridges would have died much sooner. Individual results may vary :). The CD printer works great too. I am very happy with the quality of the prints, be sure to use INNOVERA / IVR77855 / CD-R Discs w/Printable Surface, 700MB/80min, 52x, Matte White, 50/pk / Sold as 1 PK or a product like that. If you have a mac and are using OSX 10.5.x then this is the all in one for you! Rating: - * great deal didn't last ... This all in one was a great deal, until you need to print. After just a handful of word documents, the machine decides that the magenta is low. I haven't even printed in color. Tech support says just replace the cartridge. Now it won't print at all because it thinks the cartridge is empty. I still haven't printed in color! I am so disappointed in this product as a printer. Don't be fooled by a great price. The ink runs $13 -20 a cartridge and there are six, too high if you have to replace them when you aren't even printing in color. Rating: - * Ink stopped working ... I bought the Epson RX595 because it was on an amazing sale and you can't go wrong with an Epson scanner. However, the printer is an entirely different story. After four months the yellow cartridge ran out (Epson ALWAYS goes through yellow like crazy - they must only 1/2 fill the cartridges). I got a new yellow cartridge and put it in and then got a message that it did not recognize the Black cartridge - even though it was still at least half full. Got a new black and put it in and then the other four cartridges suddenly were unrecognizable. Bought a complete color pack and replaced all the cartridges. It worked fine for two months and now they are all suddenly unrecognizable again. They ALL still have ink. I know this is partly my own fault because every person I have ever known that bought any Epson printer had nothing but problems with the ink. Now I'm a believer. I guess the solution is to go back to HP, even though their scanners aren't nearly as good. Rating: - * Beware These Printers ... I am another dissatisfied owner of an Epson printer - the all-in-one style is tempting, but not advised. You will be locked into expensive cartridge replacements, non-refillable, and the printer will not print black and white copies if any of the color cartridges are low - you have multiple ones to refill, expect to spend hundreds of dollars on replacements. Better to save your color printing for a dedicated photo printer, and us an HP or other black and white printer with refillable cartridges. Don't be fooled by the low price - the cost is in the ink. Rating: - * Great product ... This all in one machine is really fits my need. The printing quality is spectacular with photo paper. I used kirkland glossy photo paper, the quality is very good. Copy and Scan features are very intuitive. I printed some DVDs with this printer, the quality is very awesome. I use continuous ink system for this printer, so i solve the expensive ink issue. This All in one machine is a good buy for home office and small business use. |
