Rating: - * Creative Zen 2 GB ... This is an awesome little player for the price. Fairly easy to navigate, great size, fits in any pocket, loud enough for the gym. Anyone who needs more memory - just buy an extra SD card, or even several of them (they are getting cheaper by the day). A nice feature I thought I'd never use was the picture viewing. If you put the pictures on a SD card, the player does a very neat slideshow. Now I don't have to carry a photo album with my kids' pictures, if anyone asks I just turn on the player instead. All that said, I don't use it to watch movies, because everything has to be converted in order to play (and the process takes a while, although everything is very straightforward), and the resolution is not very high. so, for the movie buff i would recommend something like Archos, or Cowon (which are bigger, heavier, more sophisticated, and also a lot more expensive) Rating: - * Nice product but still needs work. ... The player plays great. Pros. It is easy to transfer stuff to. I have listen to Audio books, Music, Tv show and veiwed pictures using it. The sound is great and you can stop it and pick up right where you left off. Also has an SD card slot you you can have even more disk space. The cons might seem like as lot but I really do like this player. The battery life is only about 3 to 4 hours watching video. When using the SD slot your system doesn't pick it up as a file in the system unless you import it meaning you can't book mark anything on the SD card. Some times system hangs up when you are disconnectiong from the computer.Converting video takes awhile plus system must be connected to the computer to start converting file once strated you can remove it. also I would make sure you buy the protective case that they sell. They should have given you one with it I felt. So if your looking for a cheap version of an Video Ipod then this way to go. Wouldn't reccomend it for younger kids not as durable as the IPOD. Rating: - * Sadly, it didn't work for long... ... The Zen is a beautiful looking media player, but unfortunately it just doesn't work. It freezes constantly. I can get it to start playing music and by the second or third song, it freezes. I've tried re-setting, re-formatting, updating the firmware... all to no avail. I'm very disappointed, but in going to Creative's website for support, I see that MANY people are having the same problem. What product will I get to replace the Zen? I have no idea, right now I am just very disappointed. I would highly suggest purchasing a different brand of media player. Rating: - * Think Twice ... This product is great... when the screen works. I had it for like 2 weeks before the screen started turning all white. It is apparently a problem with the newest operating system. Rating: - * Good overall media player ... Excelllent portable media device. Easy to navigate and view. For memory card SD/SDHC use, it would be nice if the navigation works the same as the internal memory, but it is not as robust. Nevertheless, the memory card expansion is very useful feature.
