Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - * Great little mp3 player ...
This is a great little mp3 player. I found it pretty easy to use and load music into. The one issue I have is that it doesn't work with Apple's Mac computer, which is our main computer. Fortunately, we do have a Dell it worked easily with. I just wish the product description had mentioned that ahead of time.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - * wrong player ...
I ordered a refurbished 16gb zen media player. The package was for a 16gb but it contained an 8gb that I only discovered when I found that it was full with only 1/2 the media loaded that I intended. While I was told I could return it for a full refund ,I decided to keep it for a partial refund since it was expandable with sd cards. Unfortunately as I have used it I have discovered that I'm only getting a maximum of 6 to 8 hours of audio play back per charge rather than the 25 to 30 hours as stated in the player specs. In all fairness to Creative Media, I do also have a Vision M & W both of which were purchased new and have met my expectations. I guess I'll put the blame for the poor battery life to the "refurbished" part and mark it down as an expensive lesson learned.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - * Quite Pleased ...
I bought this last week for use in the car and at work, and am glad I did. Instead of burning copies of my CDs and Amazon MP3 downloads, I now load albums and songs onto this in Windows Media Player (it's very easy), and sometimes create playlists in the supplied Zen Media Explorer. The sound quality is very good, be it via the Monster FM Wireless Transmitter I use in the car or via the headphones I use at my desk.

The main negative - no gapless playback, so a live album will have a split second of silence between songs. Also, for those wanting to watch movies or TV shows - I can't imagine using this to watch videos for any length of time. I loaded a 3-minute home movie onto it and it was kinda like watching a moving postage stamp.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - * Great buy. ...
Beautiful product, I am highly satisfied with the product and would recommend the buy. The screen is bright and has very good colors in normal light but sometimes is difficult to read the text under sunlight. The 16GB memory gives me plenty of space for my favorite music and the sound quality is superb connected to an audio equipment. It was a nice surprise to discover that it supports SDHC memory cards so now my ZEN has and additional 4GB card. Navigation is easy but sometimes the buttons need extra pressure in order to work.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - * Cool ...
Wow, I bought this to upgrade from my 4 GB iPod nano (2gen) I love it! It works perfectly (so far). Hopefully reading this you know about the promoted features but here are some things I would've loved to know before I bought it.

It has this awesome advanced shuffle feature. You start playing something then simply navigate to any category and you can add it to the list of what to listen too. (like adding a single artist or cd or song) If you have it on shuffle you can listen to any selection of music shuffled together. You can save this list as a playlist as well. This is a feature I use constantly.

Also, I read a lot of complaints about the SD card slot. I find it useful, if only for videos or pictures. I was on vacation and my memory card on my camera was full, I simply put the SD card into my player, imported all the pictures and then cleared it, so I would be free to take more pictures.

This player also has some handy little features that are well integrated. I can change the play mode right from the song menu (it's impossibly annoying on the iPod). The My Shortcut button is also immensely useful, I have it set to go to Date and Time. Navigating through long lists is so much easier than even the brilliant design of the iPod. I have 2010 songs on here and I can find them twice as quick as on the iPod. My last little feature is that you can zoom in on a portion of a picture and set that portion as your wallpaper. (very useful for moving the center of the picture so it isn't covered by the icons on the main menu)

I'm not going to mention the sound quality because even though it is great, it depends heavily on the headphones (I have some Sony's that work well).

The software is also good, fast, effective and very easy to use. One thing I did notice is that it cut off the end of some information, like my artists, songs or album information. It's a little weird but easily fixed. This only happened about five times and is such a minor bug I almost didn't mention it.

I will warn you, it's thicker than it looks in that isometric view they have on the page. Also the placement of the headphone jack is a bit annoying when trying to operate one handed. I will give the designers credit that it was the only place they could've put it without it being even more annoying.

Overall, an excellent mp3 player that I would (and have) highly reccommed to anyone who will listen. It has a very well thought out design and it works perfectly.

There are but two kinds of people in the world: Those captivated by Baz Luhrmann's heady, postmodernist musical romp Moulin Rouge--and everybody else. Oddly, the film's initial soundtrack release may have been the project's most traditional element, marketing a slate of pop-star contributions that gave listeners a sometimes-skewed perspective on its true musical charms. This follow-up corrects much of that oversight, offering original film versions of "Sparkling Diamonds" (the lavish, Nicole Kidman-performed medley of "Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend" and "Material Girl"), Jim Broadbent's and Richard Roxburgh's loopy take on "Like a Virgin," as well as the lively Offenbach "Can Can" parody "The Pitch (Spectacular Spectacular)." It also pays homage to the efforts of composer Craig Armstrong, whose quietly compelling underscore often binds the film's other far-flung musical influences together, be they stately orchestral readings of Elton John's "Your Song," a dramatic arrangement for Kidman and Ewan MacGregor's original film duet of "Come What May," or his dark, melodramatic take on Queen's "The Show Must Go On." The first Moulin Rouge soundtrack collection flaunted the film's bold, cross-genre ambitions; this one chronicles its nakedly emotional heart and soul. --Jerry McCulley

It would be easy to dismiss Kelly Osbourne's musical ambitions based on 1) Her royally obnoxious behavior on the family's MTV reality series, 2) Her overly manufactured debut album, Shut Up, and 3) That voice, which up until now, sounded like cats on a chalkboard. But spare a moment for the bratty singer's follow-up effort, a remarkably faithful new-wave throwback, which generously references everyone from Duran Duran to Missing Persons. Producer Linda Perry not only effectively revives the dramatic sounds and melodies of the era but offers songs that perfectly suit Osbourne's, er, constrained vocal range. The resulting disc is full of guilty pleasures like "Uh Oh" and "Redlight," tunes that should strike a chord with anyone that still gets a thrill out of happening upon basic cable reruns of "Sixteen Candles." --Aidin Vaziri
