Rating: - * only for a small room ... Purchased when I worked in a cubicle to use with headphones. Fine for that. Then put in my son's room. Horrible sound. I paid $9.00 for it on a military base, new. That is about what it's worth. Rating: - * Good, at the beginning. ... I bought this item three years ago to replace a similar unit that had failed -- oddly enough for the same reasons I'm finally replacing this one. The unit started off well enough, playing CDs as I fell asleep. However, after 6-8 months of regular, but hardly abusive use, the CD player no longer recognized discs. The multi-voltage is helpful, though the clock does lose/gain time if the power isn't running clean. The dual alarm works great, when it keeps time. And the snooze button is easy to hit. In these last few weeks, I've found that the analog tuner tends to drift off station. After going through two vertical-loading CD clock radios, I think I'd recommend against that style. The construction is solid and long lasting, even if the technology inside isn't. Rating: - * good product but missing one thing ... i think this is a great product, but the only feature I would like it to have is to be able to select any track to wake up to. the way it is now, the alarm clock just plays the first track on the cd. Rating: - * Wonderful gift! ... I purchased this alarm clock radio for my 83 year old mother. She liked the cube design, and the earphone jack was what really sold her. Now she doesn't have to disturb anyone while listening to her programs. Rating: - * UNHAPPY!! ... I bought this a little over a year ago. First got the product, found out the radio wasn't working properly. I barely got few receiption on the stations which I usually listen to on my stereo in the same room. It doesn't read CDs well either. But I didn't really care at that moment since I used mainly for the alarm function. Last Octorber, when I tried to adjust the time due to the day light saving, I found out that I could not adjust the hour! Both hour and minute bottom were to used to adjust minutes. Well.. I totally understand if a multi-function alarm clock can't have the best quality of radio and CD player function. But I do expect the alarm function works without any problem. Now I have to find another alarm clock. |
