Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - * My first headphone amp. ...
I have a drawer full of sub one hundred dollar headphones. My newest. Grado SR60s. Pure clean sound for seventy bucks. But could be louder.

I researched headphone amps, I wanted the Grado amp, but I think my wife would kill me.
So after reading the reviews on this Boostaroo. I figured I go to Radio Shack this evening and pick one up.

I've only tried it with my Grados and a cheap pair of Sennheiser 201s.

It worked as promised. The volume of both set of cans was boosted. The Grados sound good, the sennheisers have some distortion. But what do you expect from Twenty dollar headphones.

I'll try it with my AKGs, upmarket Sennheisers, the Koss and the various other cans in the forty to one hunderd dollars range in my desk drawer, and let you know how they are.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - * A product to avoid! ...
First Impression: Looked cool, seemed simple. That's about all that was good about it.

Actual Usage: It required batteries! I don't recall that being in the item description, though I may be wrong. After much hassle of trying to get the batteries to FIT in the compartment and closing it, I was eager to try it. Nothing. It didn't even split the sound. So I tried only one output. Finally, I heard something, but it sounded HORRIBLE. It sounded like my music was being replayed in a ghost movie. I don't even want to TALK about the sound BOOSTING properties, because turning that on gave me nightmares. What ticks me off so much is that you can't use it at ALL without the battery, not even just to split sound without amplifying it. For all I cared, I couldn't even use it as a 6 inch audio cable extension! A waste of time.

Overall: I believe it is pretty self explanatory that, at least, from my experience with the product, anyone who is self-respectful should avoid it. It may have worked for some people, but it certainly did not for me.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - * Boostaroo ...
Boostaroo amplifier and splitter works pretty much as advertised. Amplification is minimal probably about 2 X the volume. I'm using with mini speakers not headphones and this may not be the optimal product for this task.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - * Wow what a difference ...
I bought a small DVD player for the car. Unfortunately you could not hear the movie with all the traffic noise. This little attachment works Great !!! Now we have 3 earphone with all the volume we need. Would recommend this item again and again for any audio enhancement. "Boosteroo" its true, great value for a small cost.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - * A Small Amp and Splitter For Travel ...
My Wife and I used this on a recent trip (flight and air port layover) as a splitter and amp to watch full length movies on our Zune 80 GB to pass the time. It worked great, case, switches, etc are very sturdy and well made. Small enough to pack and travel. Get one if you need to boost the volume or need to share.

Beyonce's London fans go crazy when the Destiny's Child beauty, on her first solo international tour, descends to a massive stage while suspended, upside down, from a wire. After a delicate landing, the star embarks on a set of recent hits immersed in complicated arrangements, including the Arabic sound of "Baby Boy" and "Naughty Girl," the chunky, hypnotic funk of "Hip Hop Star," and Beyonce: Live at Wembley's best performance, the powerful "Work It Out," in which the diva is at her clearest, jazziest, and most soulful. Not everything works. The bottom falls out of "Gift from Virgo," "Be with You" is forgettable, and Beyonce's stage patter needs polish. But a Destiny's Child medley accompanied by only a DJ is innovative and fun, "Summertime" proves a breezy dance number, and "Crazy in Love" is bolstered by what sounds like the old Stax horns. A CD featuring a few remixes is included with the DVD. --Tom Keogh
