Rating: - * Dissapointing ... I travel extensively internationally (around 30 weeks a year) so I was looking for a universal adapter that I could stick in my bag instead of having to remember to bring the right adapter for each business trip. I tried this adapter out and found it was lacking. Pros: 1. It does work in most outlets worldwide. The one exception is some UK safety sockets...more later 2. It is not too terribly large 3. The trendy white color :-) Cons: 1. It will stop working frequently when using the europlug. In order to make electrical contact the europlug must be flipped all the way up. Unfortunately it is on a hinge with very little resistance so any weight on it (like a cable plugged into it) causes the plug adapter itself to rotate on this hinge causing the plug to lose contact. You only have to wake up to a dead cell phone once before figuring this out. 2. It does not work in UK safety sockets. Some of the safety sockets in the UK require the grounding pin to hit a switch that allows the rest of the plug to go in. For some reason this plug does not always work in those. 3. It is bigger than it looks in the picture. In summary, buy the Kensington model instead. I have 2 and they work great. Kensington 33117 International All-in-One Travel Plug Adapter Rating: - * power source ... great for traveling over seas when more than one socket is needed, it preform excellent Rating: - * worked well ... Used this product in Slovenia to charge my computer and other electronic devices. Worked great and had no problems. Never used it with a converter but it worked great as an adapter. Rating: - * too soon to tell ... This review is partial. The item looks to be what I'll need on my trip. Have to wait and see how it performs. At least it came in time for the trip and wasn't too expensive. Rating: - * Very pleased with Adapter ... I've been using my Belkin adapter in Italy for my computer and cellphone charger and have had no problems. Remember- this is not a converter. That should not be a problem, however, with most of your devices since any device- like most computer power cords- that accept 100-240V will be fine. |

The real joy of the set, however, is nine NBA playoff games presented as they were originally broadcast and almost in their entirety. They last about 90-100 minutes with TV introductions and post-game interviews, but minus halftime, commercials, and some slower moments. The games include such absolute classics as the game in which rookie Magic Johnson started at center in place of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and the 1987 "baby hook" game against the Boston Celtics. If you're used to watching current NBA games you might be tempted to just skip to the end, but it's surprisingly rewarding to watch the game develop, to watch the game's superstars strut their stuff (or see a couple of 1972 reserves named Phil Jackson and Pat Riley), and to observe how radically the sport has changed over the years. Variable picture quality and technical glitches are unavoidable (even the 2002 game looks washed out), but this is the first time complete or nearly complete NBA games have been available in the home-video era, and they probably still look better than the VHS tapes you've been saving over the years. Yes, it'd be easy to argue about which games from the Lakers' long history should have been included, and the highlight videos don't have a ton of replay value, but the NBA Dynasty series is a major milestone in archived sports. --David Horiuchi
